So, every time I try to post anything today it gets deleted. Here is my first video attempt because well, it was easier, faster, and on my heart. Would you do me a favor? Please post a comment if the video works!

Excited to hear from you!
Blessings, Megan

  1. Meg -
It was so encouraging to talk to you yesterday. I LOVE the peace and conviction that the Lord has given you. It radiates from you and is such a calming encouragement to me. I loved hearing more of your story and listening to this video today. I am always so refreshed by the Word and I know that this will be a blessing to the people who hear it. Thanks for chatting last night...I thought about our conversation this morning and I realize that since I only told you parts of my job transition/church story that it might not have made sense at all. I'm sorry if not, I am partially still walking in it and learning from it as well. Thanks for listening though. Hoping we will all get to chat soon!

  2. Hi Megan,

Loved your video! It's so nice to see your face and to hear what God is teaching you! You are right that it does go really fast. I remember having a hard time adjusting to staying at home with my first. It's crazy that he's 8 now. I still need to seek God daily for patience and repent in front of my children and ask their forgiveness when I loose my temper. But I believe that our repentance points them to Jesus. I remind them that I will never be perfect on earth and that we always need God's love, grace and forgiveness. I need to preach the gospel to myself and my kids daily ;) I wrote a little blog post about it when my youngest was a newborn (http://4sweetmonkeys.blogspot.com/2011/06/humility.html).

    Miss you!

    Love and Blessings,
    Liz

    1. Liz, I miss you! I loved when we were in the same room talking and learning from the Lord but seasons and lives change! I agree about repentance! I'm already seeing that in Siena. I will read that blog post!! Miss and love you!

  4. Megan. I struggled all day with patience and loving my husband and baby boy well. I know God allowed me to come across this tonight. Thank you for letting Him use you. You blessed me.

    1. Marissa- I know what that feels like. If our patience is only there through our flesh it will fail us every day. Learning to tap into the Holy Spirit's power in us will ultimately give us the best source of patience. Excited to talk to you guys today!

  5. Loved this! You're not alone... at least not as 'compared' to me. I struggle with patience and also just understanding that my kids are, well, kids! Its why I sometimes break from the norm and we have a crazy fun day, remembering how much we love each other and love this life God has given us.
James is also my all time favorite book of the Bible! When I was about 13 I memorized the first chapter and then decided to memorize a chapter a year until the book was done. I think it ended up taking me until I was 19 but I did it and I'm SO glad! Its one whole book I love having in my memory and can 'turn' to at any moment.

Loved the video idea too - it worked on my end!

    1. That is SUCH a great idea! Memorizing scripture is something that a lot of people just haven't committed to do. I think it is incredibly powerful. By God's grace I memorized more scripture last year than in my entire life combined... Pray that it continues!
